1. Thinking like a man.
Sure it prevents you from getting hurt, and you feel super indestructible, but you really get nowhere. Your hard exterior, potty mouth, and reckless behavior only attract the same into your life. If you want to remain single or date someone as brash and cold, keep up with that attitude. Only put out what you wish to receive. Never forget it.
2. Getting naked on social media.
Because no. Just no. Not only are you completely selling yourself short, you’re succumbing to petty attention from sick, lonely men. They’re not complimenting you on anything of substance, and they’re only into your breasts and ass. If you have so much to offer the world, getting naked for likes will make you lose credibility. You seem easy and leave nothing up to the imagination. Real men want more.
3. Clubbing every weekend.
That was cool up until last year. Now it’s just exhausting and destructive. You encounter the same crap every night and the same drunk girls hooking up with random guys. You’ll never find what you’re looking for in there, and there are better places to dance and socialize than a club. In addition to all of this, your body is tired of drinking. Give it up. Meditate. Read a book. Go out for coffee. Your body isn’t what it used to be.
4. Getting jealous about other girls.
There’s no reason to get jealous when you’re secure with who you are. Cheer other women on and be genuine about it. You help her, she helps you, and the world goes ’round and ’round.
5. Drawing their eyebrows on.
Nothing wrong with shading them in, but if you’ve completely drawn out your eyebrows, there is a problem. You look ridiculous, and I know no one will probably tell you, but it’s true. For every 9 people you meet, 8.5 of them will want to lick their finger and wipe off your eyebrows. You weren’t born perfect. Stop trying to achieve perfection when less is more.
6. Idolizing Kim Kardashian.
I understand we all want to be rich and famous, and Kim Kardashian is drop-dead gorgeous, but she’s also so fake. We won’t ever be as gorgeous as her because we can’t afford to have a makeup artist every day and Botox injections on the weekends. She also has no talent and acts like materialistic things are what provide happiness. By idolizing her, you lose focus of what’s important. Work toward your goals every day, but remember that happiness comes from within.
7. Stressing.
No matter how confusing life gets as we get older, we have all the answers. All we have to do is quiet the noise around us. We’ve been stressed before, and we’ve made it out alive. We can do it once more…and again and again. Keep your life simplified and keep your soul at peace. The more we know, the more things get complicated. Make room for the unknown and be open to change. Life is good, and it’s only going to get better!
